63 – Free Will

A Genie appeared and said to Man,
“I can give you anything you want. I have unlimited power. Let’s start with your favorite meal. What do you like?”
So Man describes his favorite meal. And looks forward to it with great anticipation.

And Genie says, “OK that’s what you get for dinner tonight.
In fact, I’ll make sure you get it every night.”

Within a short period of time Man asks Genie to change the meal. “I thought it was your favorite.”  Well, yes it was. But too much of the same and it’s no longer true.

“OK” says Genie, “What do you want.”
And Man describes yet a different meal.
And soon, yes, he tires of that one, too.

After many, many tries Genie finally says, “I’ll grant you just one more wish. You better make it a good one.”

And Man says, “I want Free Will. Then I can choose what I want, when I want.”
“Oh, and make that true for everything in my life.”

You have free will, why are you choosing to have the same life every day.
Day in and day out.
Why not change at least one of the once-great-but-now-boring routines you have.
