When listening to someone speak, make a note of the idea \/thing that causes you to think.<\/p>\n
That way you can keep on listening<\/em> without missing anything.<\/p>\n Usually you start to think about whatever was just said … at the expense of the next things being said. <\/p>\n The exact same thing applies when you<\/span> have an idea as someone speaks to you.<\/p>\n Have them wait a moment until you somehow make a mental note of that idea. Then you freely continue to pay attention because you are comfortable that the idea is not lost.
