My brother would stay at my place when he came to oversee my business.<\/p>\n

On the hour drive we would freely speak with no chance of being misunderstood by others.<\/p>\n

As he was extremely smart I always appreciated how he made me think.<\/p>\n

Once he said “If a person is good, then you give them a raise and \/or promotion.”<\/em><\/p>\n

I thought about it wondering what was so very profound about that.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A few minutes later he said “On the other hand if they are no good, you give them some money and fire them.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Again I thought about it, and still nothing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then he said “So how come people are good but not that good, and bad but not that bad, and you never quite know what to do with them.”<\/em><\/p>\n

I smiled and said “Paul, stop talking about you and me.”<\/p>\n

That is what reality is all about as compared to thoughts or plans.<\/p>\n

Not black and white. Grey.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There’s a saying: If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.<\/p>\n

When you believe you have everything planned \/thought out, add just one more thing.<\/p>\n

Add ‘grey’ to your black and white and you’ll be better prepared for what will<\/strong> happen.<\/p>\n
