When we agree on something it’s usually because it can withstand our widely disparate points-of-view:
You project what you are.
I project what I am.
They project what they are.
We project what we are, first and foremost.
Then and only then, what is described or proposed might also be true for others.

Don’t take what they say about you personally…
rather
take what you say about them personally.
It might apply to them, but it definitely applies to you.
Listen to your own projections.
