96 Habits

You can’t ‘break’ a Habit.
The latest research indicates we never get rid of the patterns /pathways that are /cause habits.
So what to do?
Well, first ignore the fact that you fall into a habit pattern. (“Here I go, again!”)
To repeat: you automatically do this!
Don’t blame yourself.
Just ignore it.
And deliberately create a new pathway with a desired response.

It takes 21 days to successfully create a new pathway.
This is for your protection!
If it takes less time — someone sits with you for a day or two (a weekend, say) and you end up programmed …by them!

So, for your safety, it takes 21 days to program yourself.

And remember, you can just as easily trigger the old program as the new.
However, with this new research /understanding, NOW you CAN say to yourself, with a great deal of patience, what you really want is this new pathway you created /are creating.
Rather than lose hope, feel bad, think you’re a loser, give up etc. (Which in itself is also self-programming!)
Fairly quickly the new one becomes the dominant one.
