Yes, I know you know people aren’t perfect.
Well, except when they criticize you.
Then they magically become Perfect.
Otherwise you would not forget that they may currently be in a bad mood.
Or afraid they may be next to be criticized.
Or just had a fight at home.
Or…
Well you get the idea.
Are they always astute and neutral in every evaluation of you?
Again, you get the point. Right?
People are not perfect even when they criticize, mock or deride you by words or looks.
Next time you validate someone (ie: defend yourself or feel bad), realize you are the one who just made that person Perfect.
