240 Irreplaceable

I’m always looking for someone to promote so I can be free to expand.

I call one person and ask her how she is doing.

“Excellent. I’m working very hard. I couldn’t fit in another thing.

And I can’t think of anyway I could become more effective or efficient.”

Because she thinks that’s the best way to be promoted.

I reply “Oh, that’s too bad, because I need someone to run the business but I guess you are too busy.

And even if you can somehow make some time, you can do nothing to improve the place.”

Are you or have you made yourself irreplaceable?

Too bad, no promotion for you because they can’t do without you where you are.

Maybe less perfect and less busy would give you what you want.
