“Oh, I can’t approach him, he just got a raise.”
Everyone ADDS each event to all previous events and bases their response on the total:
* He is furious because the raise came too little and too late, … once again!
* He is now silently looking for another opportunity.
“I want to tell you how happy I am about my new raise/promotion.”
Phooey, I can’t approach him.
Do you know how many friends ask him if they could get a job at his place.
He’d be pleased to give a referral.
I admire people’s ability to handle what I can’t.
Or remain encouraged with something that would discourage me.
They experience the same event as I, but add to a different past series and respond to that total.
Stop stopping yourself because of your total.
It’s their total they act on, not yours.
