How tremendously ‘old fashion’ to think that there is still such a thing as a Mistake.
Oh, sure, we get things wrong once in a while.
And we learn from that. (Otherwise, it is a mistake!)
Society is structured according to events that were real at that time.
Getting something wrong was costly.
It was not called discovery. Or exploration. Or experimentation.
It was just plain Wrong!
Ok, so?
Just how much would you learn if you never ever got anything ‘wrong’. Ever.
Never did anything but that it was already tried (by others!) and therefore dictated to you. And you, in turn, execute it properly and accurately first time around.
Imagine telling children they are always wrong until they learn to
walk, talk, speak, write, dress, clean themselves, etc. ‘properly’ (!)
What do we call it when you do make a mistake, get it wrong, don’t realize your goal, BUT in a subject that society finds acceptable, like sports?
We call that practice.
Soooo, practice everything.
Then you are never wrong, … right?
