Do it

106 Plan B

You never succeed at Plan A.
Never.
Those who do succeed are the ones who have a Plan B.

Nothing you’ve ever done has succeeded just as you initially planned it.
Nothing.
Not even when to marry, who to marry, when to have children, how many, what job you have now compared to what you thought you’d get, etc.
Nothing.
Sooo, why plan?
Because you MUST have a Plan A from which you can then get Plan B.

In life you don’t even want what you claim you want.
I don’t really, really want a red sports car.
(I just like the idea that I’m the type that would want one!)
The seven year old wants what again? Why Plan A of course: candy.
Lord please give me what I want — before I stop wanting it.
And the 27  —  37  —  47 year old.
Marriage? Divorce? Remarriage?

So dutifully create Plan A, and don’t be surprised as /when it changes.
Successful people understand when Plan A becomes useless and allow themselves to be drawn to Plan B and then do that.
The non-successful ones stay with Plan A regardless.

Look for signs of, and start devising Plan B.
It never fails to surprise, when you open up to Plan B, how it’s all around you and has been for a while.

The key is to open yourself to it.
