Do it

202 Compliments

We stood and formed two rows, as asked.

“Now give each other a sincere compliment.”

Fat chance that’s going to work, I thought.

How could anyone believe a compliment was serious if it was ‘planned’.

Yet after looking at me for a minute the guy opposite me said, “I like your tie.”

Hmmm, had he said anything else I would not have believed him.

This new tie was particularly complementary as many people had mentioned since I bought it.

So a lesson was learned. (in 1967!)

A sincere compliment always works if it is, in fact, sincere.

Ok, so?

Sometimes we have relationship situations that seem hard to resolve.

Either because things have been shifting ever sooo slowly,

there’s no time when it is noticeable by any one action — yet the cumulative is there.

Other times because some problem /fight /argument has created an atmosphere hard to change.

To solve these relationship situations that seem to be at an impasse:

Give the person 3 compliments each and every day for one week.

Only three. Not 2 or 4. THREE.

And of course they MUST be sincere or this does not work.

That’s it.

Too simple? Why?

It is quite simple yet it’s virtually 100% effective.

3 sincere compliments, each and every day, for one week.
