This process has worked for me for over 40 years.
(I thought everyone solved their problems this way!)
1. Clarify what the problem actually is.
2. Think of a few possible solutions mentally.
(Ideally, write them down)
3. Think of the ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ for each solution.
(No need to write them down)
4. Now, forget it and do something else!
(This is part of the solution!)
5. A day /week later think about that problem again.
One of the solutions is now obvious!
It has always worked for me.
