When you look at someone or something, what exactly do you see?
Or more to the point, what do you NOT see!
In actuality you only see a small portion of it.
In a public parking, how much of your car do you see when you say, “Ah, there it is.”
Not much.
A curve, a color, a style.
In effect you compare /identify what you see to a Pattern.
It’s exactly the same with absolutely everything else in your life.
The front of a person’s face, at best. Usually just the curve of a cheek or a hair style.
When this Pattern recognition gets too different from what’s actually there you (automatically) update your inner Base Pattern /picture.
“My how you’ve grown.” = Grandma updating Pattern /picture of grandchild.
“Love is blind” is an excellent example. She /he can do no wrong! Suddenly the Pattern /picture is updated and she /he realizes they are no longer interested in each other. How long has that been true? Who knows!
When it’s time to sell-or-keep your car you then update and suddenly notice small chips, scratches and dents not there a few minutes ago!
So what?
You have more success dealing with a current Pattern /picture rather than one so dated it has almost no bearing.
Update your Pattern /picture on virtually everything in your life.
Do it like this: Simply ‘allow’ yourself to accept current input.
Look and see with awareness rather than with confirmation.
This is not an intellectual exercise. Do it only when you encounter things /situations /people in actuality.
Each takes only a second or two to bring you up to date and far more effective.
