All singers singing the same song

use the same words. The same notes.

Yet one singer is far more popular than another.

Obviously it’s the difference that person adds

in their interpretation of the same song,

with the same words and the same notes.

Is your job /situation the same as another person’s?

Then what you add to make a difference will get you more of what you want.

And, no you will not get penalized. They will not demote you or lower your pay.

At worse you stay the same.
