157 Self Assembly

At a car assembly line you see parts go in one end and cars come out the other.

If you walk through, you also see it takes a week for the parts to become a car.

Yet cars come out at the rate of one-per-minute.

Your ‘self’ is exactly like that.

To re-gear for a different assembly takes some time … to show!

Parts are now being changed to accommodate your new choices, new desires, new image.

New things are now being done.

All this without stopping the line.

You are working around yourself. And that takes time.

Yet you stand at the end of the line and still see the old you coming out.

So you get discouraged, which stops the changes.

Then you get enthused again and restart those same changes.

And stop again. And …

When you start to get discouraged because something triggers you into seeing a part of your old self acting up, remember this is happening while the assembly line is running. So, of course you’ll see the old self come through.

Now take a look at the bits and pieces that are the new self. They are also there.

Then, instead of being discouraged by the old parts, you feel encouraged by the new ones.

And the changes speed up.
