Just saw a movie called EXODUS.

In the movie Moses and “God” work together to ‘force’ the Egyptian King to release the Hebrew people from slavery, … after 400 years (!)

“God” sent many plagues onto the Egyptians,

To coerce the King to release them.

Thousands upon thousands were injured or killed as a result.

Ok, so?

One would think the Creator of the entire Universe would have a greater insight and compassion and simply kill the actual decision makers /rulers one after another until they complied.

Rather than thousands upon thousands of innocent Egyptians who had absolutely no power or say in their government. 

Why kill them?

Again, so?

The next time someone says “God” wants this or that, why not substitute another name and see if it still makes sense: Mr. Smith wants you to…

Same for the words Parent, friend, family, etc.
