Feedback Works!
You’re in a car doing 80 in a 60 zone.
You pass a police car with a policeman in it.
Who does nothing.
The next time you’re doing 80 in this 60 zone and
you see the police car again, you hesitate before slowing down.
Again the police does nothing.
The next time you simply keep your speed as you pass the police car.
Doing nothing was the feedback, in this case.
And you adjusted yourself accordingly.
(This time, by NOT changing your actions.)
So, now that you know feedback works,
just exactly what feedback do you give yourself when:
- you start thinking negative thoughts,
- you beat yourself up mentally,
- you put yourself down.
Start giving yourself some good feedback and
you will adjust accordingly because …
