You are very effective when you concentrate. Things seem to magnify and you see more clearly. And you solve problems more easily. Yet this ability does not judge. It will magnify whatever you choose to concentrate on. So if you worry about something and concentrate on that, guess what happens. It gets magnified. It becomes bigger. Increases in size. In importance. In urgency. And what may have been a simple ‘something’ suddenly becomes huge. And discouraging. The next time you worry first ask yourself, “Is this really that bad or mostly a result of my concentrating on it?” ————————– These are related: 33 Solving a 5 – 43 Desire – 70 Conclusions

44 After
Years ago I created a series of courses teaching Personal Development.
I worked quite hard, opening five or six offices in as many cities.
Somehow, I was stuck there.
I even reread my own material (!) regarding goal setting /achieving. Surely I was missing something. Otherwise the whole concept of goal setting should be discounted.
I soon realized no one gets their goal until they decide what they’ll do AFTER they get it.
Normally we say “first things first” as in: First get your goal, then figure out what to do after.
Well, that’s NOT how it works. You get what you want only AFTER you determine what you’re going to do… AFTER you get what you want!
So I decided AFTER opening Canada, I would open the United States. I made a strategy book and, over the next two years, filled it with ideas.
I’m sure you know the ending to this.
I opened over 30 offices in Canada in those few short years.
Yet I never really opened many in the States. (Four or five)
And you know why: Because I never decided what I was going to do AFTER I had succeeded in the United States.
Because to get your goal, see, you have to decide ‘now’ what you’re going to do AFTER you get it. Get it?
Choose any goal you have yet to achieve. And decide what you’re going to do AFTER you get your goal.

41 Elephants
Picture an elephant pulling to the left. And another, pulling to the right.
Nothing moves.
Now imagine 500 elephants on each side.
Same thing.
It doesn’t matter how ‘powerful’ you are. If you seriously believe you must maintain a ‘balanced’ situation at all times, you’ll automatically compensate for what you want, … so as NOT to get it.
Yet it seems like you really, truly want it.
Then why don’t you have it?
And just how long has it been, this wanting-and-not-getting?
Time to stop with the obvious “I want… /I have…” and all other supposedly effective devices. If they’re so effective how come you don’t have what you want for so long!
Look at it a different way and so activate different sets of Filters in yourself. Since these particular Filters have rarely (if ever!) been activated, chances are much higher by genuinely answering, you’ll get what you want.
These are the questions you ask of yourself, … and answer!
(Pick one thing you really want but don’t yet have, that’s overdue)
* What is the benefit of NOT getting what you want?
 * What would happen negatively if you reached your goal?
 * What do you think you have to lose or give up to get what you want?
Usually the first answer that springs to mind is the right one, admit it or not.
Look at the answers carefully. Deal with them.
Don’t dismiss them as silly /illogical /not applicable to you, etc.
The extent you involve yourself in these questions /answers is the extent you get rid of some elephants and get what you want. (Don’t let your ‘balance’ Filter dismiss the whole thing.)

37 Or Its Equivalent
You don’t know what you want! To a 7 year old, ‘paradise’ is more Ice Cream To a 17 year old, more girls. And so on. You only know what you want ‘now’. (Mentioning everything you could ever possibly want just takes too long.) Yet there is a Law Of Attraction! Take advantage of that Law without getting trapped in it: First outline what you want in great detail. The more detail = the faster you get it. Ideally, repeat at the same time each day and involve as many of your senses as you can. What does your ‘desire’ look like, smell like, taste (!) like, feel like and so on. Then after you have done this,
make sure to say “Or its Equivalent“ Given the proven complexity of your Subconscious Mind, do this in enough detail, involve as many senses as you can, and it will easily figure out what you mean by what you’re asking for. (It’s your mind, after all!) What you get will be similar in ‘satisfaction’ to what you currently want. Remember the 7 yr old and the 17 yr old want the same thing: Satisfaction. They just express it based on the age /understanding they are at that time. ————————– These are related: 20 The ‘Gift’ of Knowledge – 28 Getting What I Want! – 43 Desire – 44 After – 45 Problems 58 Needs – 63 Free Will – 66 Opposites – 74 Dictating Your Miracle – 79 Truth Time

34 Thinking Positively Negative
Positive Thinking is a great solution to a simple but complex-to-explain situation.
Essentially, our mind does not understand the concept of ‘not‘.
What action do you take if I say: Please don’t write your name.
Nothing!
I don’t want sickness, I don’t want poverty and so on, are absolutely useless statements.
Your mind will look at them and see …nothing.
I’m tired of being sick and poor will, at best, get you agreement that yes, indeed you are tired and sick /poor.
By using Positive Thinking you cannot phrase something in these useless-to-your-mind ways.
There is some art to it. One has to phrase things without any ambiguity whatsoever.
I am well. I am rich. I am, …etc.
OK, so?
What you say has, at its base, the exact opposite meaning /effect.
I want money clearly states you don’t have it. (And you are Positive you don’t!)
I am Healthy. OK, so if you are, then why are you saying this!
See, your basic premise is there’s something there that’s exactly opposite.
And you try to be positive about what you ‘know’ is negative.
It is this ‘knowing’ that continues the unwanted state.
Rather than blindly recite Positive Statements – question the basic premise that lies behind your ‘Positive’ Statements.
Change that and you change in your life.
