Not being in control of something does not mean it’s out of control. It simply means you are not the one doing the controlling. Take the Internet. No one ‘controls’ it. Yet it is not out of control. In fact it’s not anything. Like a multi-billion page book, to be used anyway you choose. Your family and friends are the same. You do NOT control them, but that does not mean they are out of control. Stop your best efforts to control and they will actually appreciate you more. And then they’ll listen to you.
